Nevada offers a Traffic Safety School program under NRS §483.448 that allows eligible drivers to dismiss a traffic ticket by completing an approved course. Eligible drivers can attend traffic school once every 12 months.
Nevada uses a demerit point system where accumulating 12 or more points within 12 months results in license suspension. Traffic Safety School can dismiss the citation, preventing points from being added.
For court-ordered traffic safety education beyond the ticket dismissal program, Nevada judges have discretion to order completion as part of sentencing or probation.
