Where do I go to sign up and take the Traffic Safety Course?
You can register and begin your course immediately by clicking the 'Start Now' button on this page.
Are there any tests I will need to take?
No. The Traffic Safety Course does not require tests. You will have the option to complete an optional no-fail knowledge assessment at the end.
How long is the Traffic Safety Course?
You are required to spend a minimum of 4 to 12 hours reviewing the material depending on which option you select. You do not need to accrue that time in one sitting.
When will I receive my certificate of completion?
Certificates are instantly available for download the moment you complete the class. We will also immediately email a copy.
What if my course or certificate is rejected?
Acceptance is determined by the receiving authority. Before enrollment, confirm the specific course and required hours with your probation officer, attorney, or assigning authority. If our course or certificate is rejected, we will refund your payment in full with written proof of rejection. Will I receive proof of enrollment?
Yes. An enrollment verification letter will be emailed immediately upon enrollment at no extra charge.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Am I able to start and stop the class at any time?
Yes. Your progress is saved each time you leave and return.
Will this course satisfy a court-ordered traffic safety requirement?
Acceptance depends on the requirements set by your court or assigning authority. Our Traffic Safety Course provides online traffic safety education with a certificate documenting your hours and completion. Before enrollment, confirm the specific course and required hours with your probation officer, attorney, or assigning authority.
Is this course the same as a defensive driving course?
Our Traffic Safety Course covers defensive driving techniques as part of a comprehensive traffic safety curriculum. However, if your court or insurance specifically requires a state-certified defensive driving course for a ticket dismissal or insurance discount, please verify with your jurisdiction first.
Can this course dismiss my traffic ticket?
Usually not. Ticket dismissal and point reduction programs, such as a defensive driving course for dismissal, traffic violator school, Basic Driver Improvement, or New York's PIRP, generally require a state-licensed provider, and this course is not state-licensed for those programs. It is for court-ordered, probation, and other traffic safety education requirements. Our certificate documents course completion and hours. Check with your court clerk or attorney before enrolling. Before enrollment, confirm the specific course and required hours with your probation officer, attorney, or assigning authority.
Will I get an insurance discount for completing this course?
Many auto insurance companies offer discounts of 5-15% for completing an approved traffic safety or defensive driving course. Requirements vary by state and insurer. This course is not state-approved for insurance discounts, so contact your insurance provider to confirm eligibility before enrolling.
How many points will this remove from my driving record?
None by itself. Point reduction programs require a course approved by your state's DMV or DPS, and this course is not state-approved for point reduction. If a court orders traffic safety education, the court decides how completing it affects your case. Check with your state's motor vehicle agency or the court that issued your citation for specific point reduction rules.
